Bravos? What is going on?

We went to the Opening Night game for the Braves last night. We had a blast but the Braves were depressing. Tom Glavine pitched, which was awesome but after he left the game, everything started falling apart. They were ahead for the first part of the game and then Pittsburg scored a bunch of runs and Atlanta was down 9-4. It was the 8th inning, it was very cold and it was 10:15 pm. Chipper Jones made an awful throw to first and we jetted. We rode MARTA there so when we got back on, we listened to it on the radio and low-and-behold...the Braves tied it up!!! We couldn't believe that we left. I always said I would never leave a game early just because my team was losing. (However, in my defense, it was a work/school night and it takes an hour to get home from Turner Field.) So, anyway, we listen to the game on the train and then in the car and we get home and the game is still going!!! We watched the end of the game and the Braves finally lost in the 12th inning. So, needless to say, I am glad we left because we would have gotten home at 1:00am and I had to be at work at 8:00. We are going again on Saturday, hopefully they will improve!

Yunel Escobar was the best player last night...
On a side note, we kept attracting the most obnoxious people last night. We sat beside this guy that just got out of "the hospital" (I think that is a substitute for "place the crazy people go" or "prison). He was definitely excited to be at the game but he had the weirdest, deepest voice ever. He screamed the craziest stuff to random people. It was one of those moments where everyone around keeps looking at each other uncomfortably but everyone is afraid to say anything to him at the same time. I tried to get a picture of him (he didn't have very many teeth) but we were sitting in a position where it would have been too obvious...rats!
